Katy

For the past 5 years, Tradition Bank has supported the Katy ISD Junior Achievement golf Tournament. Once again, Tradition Bank sponsored the $10,000 hole-n-one contest, closest to the pin contest, gave out sleeves of golf balls if they landed on the green and stayed on the green as well as handed out fresh baked Otis Spunk Meyer cookies to every golfer in the tournament to enjoy.

This year, the Tradition Bank team went home with trophies placing 2nd in low net.

Two great Traditions, customer Gary Hennessee and Doug Williamson joined President & CEO, Downy Vickery and Executive Vice President, Emmett Rhodes in the tournament.

It has become a real tradition for Senior Vice-President & Director of Marketing, Carol Bonaccorso along with the help of teller, Lizzie Culbertson from Grand Parkway to participate and support the Katy ISD Junior Achievement Golf Tournament by manning the $10,000 hole-n-one contest and greeting all the golfers.

The Class of 2013, Azelea Chapter of the National Charity League of Katy participated in an educational banking class at Tradition Bank on the Grand Parkway. The girls had an opportunity to tour the bank and experience what goes on behind the scenes. Tradition Bank helped 17 girls earn credits towards their banking certification for their NCL chapter.

Grand Parkway teller, Lizzie Culbertson had all the NCL girls asking questions about how she handles so much money.

Personal Banker, Christine Terreo along with (Mary Wiley, Kim Bartholomaus and Carol Bonaccorso) at Grand Parkway coached the NCL chapter in the community room on opening accounts, lending and saving money.

It has become a tradition in Katy for Tradition Bank-Grand Parkway to host a shred day for the community.  On April 19, Banking Center Manager, Tina Simmons and personal banker, Mary Wiley took charge as the community came in droves with truck loads of paper to be shredded as they lined up on the Grand Parkway. All proceeds benefitted the D.A.R.E. program ending the event with a check to D.A.R.E. for over $1300.  In lieu of hosting this shred day at Tradition Bank, the Katy ISD D.A.R.E. car “Be smart, Don’t start” now carries the Tradition Bank logo as it travels around the community and visits the area schools as a reminder to the kids to “Say No to Drugs”.
