 In a move to increase online purchase security, Tradition Bank customers can now enroll in Verified by Visa directly through traditionbank.com.  Verified by Visa is an Internet shopping protection program that asks the buyer for his or her password before processing the card number for an online purchase.  Password protection through Verified by Visa, a service that is free to the cardholder, helps fend off any unauthorized uses of the card number on the Internet should it be lost or stolen.  Users may also sign up when they purchase an item from a Verified by Visa Internet merchant and use a Tradition Bank debit card.  A pop-up screen automatically prompts the cardholder through the enrollment process.

Verified by Visa enables you to approve and sign a purchase receipt whenever shopping online at a Verified by Visa merchant. You are totally protected, since you approve each purchase with your own secret password. Your shopping experience is unchanged: you enter your card details and click "Order Now" to proceed.

Once you have begun the purchase process, the Verified by Visa receipt pops up. It displays your purchase details and asks you to identify yourself with a unique Personal ID and password.

In addition, the Personal Message you selected during the registration process will also appear to assure you that this is a genuine Tradition Bank receipt. When the receipt appears, confirm the details, and simply click "Submit".
